Judgement day for SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

Magistrate Jaoji Boseiwaqa will deliver his judgement which will decide the fate of SODELPA leader Rabuka and his position for the upcoming election will be, in the next few minutes.
At the Suva Magistrates Court, supporters of the party have turned up in numbers with a full court room.
Rabuka is charged by Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) for providing false declaration of Assets, Income and Liabilities to the Supervisor of Elections under the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and disclosures) Act of 2013.
It is alleged that on year Rabuka failed to provide information pertaining to tax liability with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services which amounted to over $316,000.
In 2017, Rabuka is alleged to have provided a false declaration of assets and liabilities to the Supervisor of Elections by failing to provide information pertaining to his tax liability with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) which amounted to $316,956.20.
He also failed to declare the Investment and interest income with Ragwhan Constructions Limited in the amount of $200,000 and $16,000 respectively and also his liability in the amount of $120,000.
Rabuka is also charged with one count of breaching his bail conditions.
He is alleged to have approached and interfered with a witness connected with his first charge, which was a condition imposed by the court while granting him bail.
In trial Rabuka was represented by Lloyd, Filimone Vosarogo and Lynda Tabuya while FICAC is represented by senior legal counsel Rashmi Aslam and Sam Savumiramira
