A 23-year-old bus driver was still in Police custody yesterday after a collision on the junction of Kinoya and Khalsa roads last Friday night.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the collision involved a private hybrid vehicle.

All nine passengers suffered injuries and were conveyed to the Valelevu Health Centre for treatment.

Police have not completed their investigation to determine the cause of the accident, says Ms Naisoro.

“An examination of the vehicle will be conducted by a Land Transport Authority officer,” she said.

No charges have been laid yet.
