Asco Motors donated $2500 to the Fiji Cancer Society during a Pinktober morning tea at its showroom in Nabua earlier this week.

The cheque was presented by the chief executive officer and director for Asco Motors, Craig Sims.

Fiji Cancer Society president Phillip Low acknowledged the support of Asco Motors and the other corporate bodies that came on board and supported the Pinktober month.

He said this year’s Pinktober month would be the biggest organised by the Fiji Cancer Society since it started in 2015.

“The corporate support has been overwhelming, amazing and we are very privilege that people are willing to support us and coming on board with us,” Mr Low said.

“Compared with last year, this year we have doubled up on the numbers of corporate services that came on board with the number of morning tea and handovers, it has been a successful month.”

He said the month has been very successful that they were even donated a motor vehicle.

“We are very grateful to all the companies and individuals that have come to support us and they have helped, words are not enough to say thank you. It’s an overwhelming support.”

Mr Sims revealed that this year the Fiji Cancer Society had spent around $140,000 on transportation cost for its patients.
