FijiFirst Party leader Voreqe Bainimarama and SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka will have a debate on Monday, November 5.

According to Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) manager radio, Shammi Lochan Lal, the two politicians will be guests on FBC’s iTaukei station Radio Fiji One on the show Navakekeli, hosted by Malakai Qaqacava between 1pm and 3pm.

The debate will be streamed live by FBC on Facebook and members of the public are encouraged to call the number 3220900 or 3220901 during the show on Monday, if they wish to ask questions to the two party leaders.

In an interview outside the High Court in Suva on Tuesday after his appeal case, Mr Rabuka accepted the invitation to a debate after he was told that Mr Bainimarama had confirmed to FBC News that he was open to a debate next week.

Mr Rabuka also said SODELPA had not been able to acquire a permit in time to campaign in public spaces.

“So we have had to substitute that by using what is legally available and hold it in non-public venues,” he said.

When asked where he would be campaigning next he said he would go wherever he was told to go and campaign according to the schedule.
