SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka is calling on party supporters to be prudent when casting their votes during postal and pre-poll voting.

Mr Rabuka’s fate on whether he will contest in the November 14 poll will be determined on November 11.

“I’m not telling them not to vote for me. I am telling them, go by your own feeling. I am feeling confident about my case but be prudent. They need to be realistic.

“While we hope for the best, we prepare for the worst.  If they are as confident as I am, they would vote for me. But the party now is promoting candidates in their own constituency. As party leader, I am encouraging the voters to vote for their local candidates.”

He was speaking to close to 80 supporters at the Kinoya Methodist Church Hall last night alongside Salote Radrodro.

Mr Rabuka’s comments come after party president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu just hours earlier had released a video reiterating that Mr Rabuka remains party leader.

He had urged supporters to stop commenting on social media about Mr Rabuka’s appeal case.

Mr Rabuka said it was encouraging to see the SODELPA team working hard to get their campaign message across.

“I think people generally need a change. While things are going good, but people want to be more involved which is what our leadership that listen slogan comes in.”

“Pick those who are worthy to represent you,” he told those present.

Some of SODELPA’s national candidates include Ratu Naiqama, Opetaia Ravai, Lynda Tabuya, Ro Filipe Tuisawau and Mr Rabuka.
