Ratu Kadavulevu School will take part in the Scots Sevens tournament in Sydney in April, next year

This was confirmed by Scots College rugby director Brian Smith during the annual prize-giving day at Lodoni, Tailevu North yesterday

“I am here to invite the RKS team to be part of the Scots Sevens on April 6, 2019,” Smith said

“They have been taking part in the past and we are willing to host them again.

“RKS is coming through a successful rugby programme and this was evident during their last tour to Australia.”

The former Wallabies and Ireland halfback was happy with the performance of the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua side in winning the 2018 Australian National Rugby Championship.

“The Fijian Drua really did well in the NRC,”he said.

“ I think in terms of quality, Fiji teams should take part in more international tournaments and the coaching is really good.”

Smith added that players need to focus on balancing education and sports.

“When a player finishes rugby it is always the biggest challenge for him.

“The games can be brutal and rewarding

I think it is very important that education and sports should go hand-in-hand,” added the former England defence coach.
