Police Officers Deployed To Pre-poll Venues

One-hundred and 10 Police officers leave today on deployment to pre-poll venues in the Southern and Eastern maritime islands.
Fiji Police Chief Operations Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Maretino Qiolevu said another group leaves tomorrow.
“They will accompany the Fijian Elections Office to go to Kadavu, Lau, Lomaiviti and Rotuma for the pre-poll,” he said.
On Wednesday ACP Qiolevu reminded 627 officers during the Southern Division Elections parade at the Police Academy in Nasova that professionalism and integrity would be the key to their success during the election period.
He said the force’s role during the election process was to ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to the conduct of 2018 General Election.
