Villager elders of Naseyani, Rakiraki, Ra, are looking forward to cast their ballots for the 2018 General Election when pre-polling starts today.

77-year-old Keperieli Rasasa said he was expecting to vote for the FijiFirst Government, which had been a source of inspiration to him and his family.

“I have six children and all are married and are living on their own. My youngest son and his family are living with me,” he said.

“I have gone through various elections which started from the Ratu Mara Government, the Bavadra Government to the Bainimarama Government and now we are expecting the election tomorrow. I can declare today that Bainimarama is the best out of all,” he said.

“All my assistance for my food, transportation, welfare and the education of my grandchildren are provided by the Bainimarama Government.

“This house is built by the help of this government. At this age, it’s very hard to be looked after by families with nothing to be provided for. But with all the assistance provided by the Bainimarama Government, I am able to support my family.”

68-year-old Salanieta Matanisiga said her disability did not hinder her expectation to cast her ballot.

“I have a daughter who helps take care of me in this state. It is very hard to help support my family in this state, but I am thankful to the Bainimarama Government for helping me with food assistance, bus fare and social welfare. I am expecting to vote for him tomorrow,” she said.
