TELS Beneficiary Backs FijiFirst

Villagers of Vatulili Village, Navuakece, Naitasiri, are looking forward to vote for a government that puts the needs of the people first.

They are scheduled to cast their ballots in pre-polling this Thursday. Pre-polling starts today.

Luseta Likumasiwai, 22, was not able to vote in 2014 and is looking forward to make her vote count this time around.

“I was in Form 7 in 2014 and was a boarding student. I was released from school, but I was late to cast my vote,” Ms Likumasiwai said.

“I am looking forward to this year’s election. I am going to vote for a government that will help me and everyone in Fiji.

“I have made up my mind on who to vote for. I am voting for FijiFirst party because I was able to attend tertiary through TELS.

“A lot of people in our village are farmers and to get money they sell their produce.

“If it wasn’t for TELS I don’t know if I would be in school now. This Government has lightened the burdens of my parents and for that I am forever grateful.

“The thing I like about FijiFirst party is that they ensure that the children of Fiji are educated because we are the future leaders of this country.

“I am currently doing my Bachelor in Agriculture and I am a second-year student.

“I hope that whoever wins this election will always remember that it is the people who elected them and must never break the trust of the people.

“I expect the next Government to help youths that live in rural areas because urban youths tend to get more opportunities compared to rural youths.”

Village headman Josaia Bulaimeke, 32 expects the next Government to remember the villagers.
