Litia Naiqato reminded students at Vishnu Deo Memorial Primary School yesterday to strive for excellence and never give up.

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s captain told the students in Raiwaqa during their school visit session how each and every child has the ability to achieve their targets in life.

“I know most of you have finished your annual exams and I just want to remind everyone that if you do not get your prize for this year there is always a next time,”she said.

“You can try again next year, most of you are not good academically but are good in sports. In anything you do make sure you do it to your best and achieve your goals.”

Nicknamed ‘Arnold’ she told the students about the benefits of sports.

“If you not good academically, try your best in sports and when you play make sure you reach the highest level and that is don the national jumper,”she said.

“Make your country proud and I hope our visit in your school will boost your morale and one day you will represent Fiji.”

Naiqato is honoured to lead the team at the Oceania Sevens Championship.

“This is the first time for me to captain the side and I’m overwhelmed to lead and I will make sure to give my best and impress the team management.

“It will not be an easy challenge but I will learn in each and every step, I know there are other senior players in the team who will help me guide the girls,” she said.

“It will be an interesting competition for us building up to the women sevens series.”
