Fijians Urged To Have A Peaceful Election

The Supervisor of Elections ,Mohammed Saneem, has urged all Fijians to have a peaceful 2018 General Election.
Mr Saneem said the country was in the last lap of the 2018 General Election.
“Just as the last 40 days, I urge all Fijians to ensure that we comply with the laws and ensure that the 2018 General Election is a peaceful and peaceful election, which allows every Fijian to cast their vote with their own choice.”
He highlighted that the FEO had already published the legal particulars in relations to the Black Out period.
“We urge all Fijians to take heed of the legal requirements, read all the provisions and make sure that you are in compliance with it.
“The FEO will be keeping a close eye on the usual to ensure that the Black Out period is respected and Fijians get the opportunity to make their decision in the two days.
“My advice to all candidates is to ensure that you have taken down all the billboards under your name.
“All political parties must make sure that if there are billboards under their name then it must be taken down by midnight.
“As well as I put out the information to all the political parties supporters and representatives to remove the billboards, placards and all that are being distributed around the country,” Mr Saneem said.
