Lalauvaki case: Two cops suspended till further notice

Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho says he is eager to receive an update from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in regards to Joseua Lalauvaki case.
Police had completed their investigations last month upon which two Police officers were suspended await awaiting the outcome of ODPP’s report.
Mr Lalauvaki died after he was allegedly assaulted by Police officers Suva on September 2.
On October 15, a post-mortem examination classified Mr Lalauvaki’s cause of death as alleged murder.
Brigadier-General Qiliho said: “I am eager and want to deal with it. Someone has died and we want to deal with it as soon as possible.
“The people who are involved will be held accountable.
“There are Police officers who are doing great work out there and because of one or two officers to do something stupid has tarnish others hard work.”
