Son’s priceless achievement is father’s priceless gift

A father’s hope to see his son do better than he did has come to fruition.
Not only did Aman Deo do well in school, he did better than expected.
He took the dux award for Vunimono High School during the prize-giving yesterday.
The 18-year-old promised himself that he would become the dux after seeing the struggles his parents went through since he was a Year 1 student.
“I am so happy for fulfilling my plan and to seeing the smile on my parents faces is just priceless,” Aman said.
“I have been receiving prizes since Year 1 but today is different.”
“My hard work has paid off. This is just the beginning of making my parents proud. I am going to become a professor in Economics and Accounting so that I can give my parents a better life.
“I had to sacrifice a lot of my family time so that I could reach this far. I thank my parents for always being there for me.”
His father, Kissun Deo said: “My son has sacrificed a lot to reach this far and I want to thank him for working hard and never letting anything stop him from achieving his goals.
“I am not well-educated but I try my best to give whatever I can to my son,” Mr Deo said.
