Abdul Irshad was happy with how the polling agents based at the Lautoka Andhra Sangam Primary School assisted him and his mum.

Despite the unfavourable weather in the Sugar City yesterday, the 39-year-old left his residence in Field 40 Lautoka around 9am with his mother Mariam Bi, 77, to cast their votes for the 2018 General Election.

Mr Irshad said he was looking forward to the results.

“I am looking forward to it in a positive manner,” he said.
“I didn’t face any problems here today despite the weather, but this is a blessing from God.”

Mrs Bi said she was happy to be at the polling station to cast her vote.

“I am happy to be here and I’m looking forward to the results,” she said.
