Powell Brothers Surprise Family With Awards

The two made the family proud, says dad.
The Powell brothers, attending Drasa Avenue Primary School succeeded together.
Stefan Powell, Year One and Joshua Powell, Year Five, made their parents proud after they each received a number of awards during the school’s annual prizegiving ceremony at the Girmit Centre in Lautoka.
Their father, Herbert Powell, said:
“We surprisingly did not expect four subject awards and the main overall award as he had just recovered from chickenpox prior to sitting his exams the week before Diwali.
“I really do not know what Stefan’s aspirations are but he may have shared this with his Mum. I believe his prospects are wide and God has a plan for him.”
He was also proud of Joshua who attained medals during his swimming competition.
“A lot of dedication and sacrifices were made throughout the year, and I’m happy with Joshua’s performance,” he said.
“Again, I attribute his success to his mum for seeing him through his training.”
