Based on the current polling result trend, Fiji Sun predicts FijiFirst to scoop 27 seats.

This is based on the provisional count results which have been announced by the Fijian Elections Office.

SODELPA is tracking to get 20 seats while National Federation Party (NFP) is set to get four seats.

NFP should not take this as a good indication. As per the provisional results NFP has been getting lesser votes compared to 2014, but given the low voter turnout, their percentage has been better.

As the tabulation continued early into the morning, FijiFirst had taken a lead in the final results as well.

SODELPA’s Lynda Tabuya has been a stand out in the current lot. She deserves a seat next to their party leader Sitiveni Rabuka on the Opposition bench.

At the rate tabulation has continued, we will confirm by tomorrow who has formed Government.
