Members of the public should not panic if they do not see results from their polling stations on the Fijian Elections Office App.

That’s the word from Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem after fielding queries from people who claimed their votes were not reflected in the results for their registered venue.

Some claimed that after voting at various stations they did not see the results or the App registered no votes from those particular stations.

“Do not panic.

“The results are being uploaded and, of course, once 100 per cent of the results have been uploaded than you can find votes in all these places,” Mr Saneem said.

“So far everybody who has queried with us we have managed to resolve it to show that either the station results are not yet up to date or the vote is now present after the 6am update (Saturday morning).”

He clarified that each venue had about five polling stations and the FEO app might upload results for each station at different times.

Mr Saneem stated that FEO issued approvals for almost 11,000 postal vote applications which were sent out to voters and they received more than 10,000 postal ballots in return.
