Suva Athletics won the girls division in the 2018 FMF Chow Games amassing 10 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals at the ANZ Stadium, Suva yesterday.

It was a close contest against the sugar city side Lautoka who finished in second place (9, 9, 8), Nadi third (8, 7, 9), Nadroga/Navosa finished fourth (6,10, 11), Ra finished in fifth place (3, 1, 2).

It was mission accomplished for Suva Athletics head coach Kemueli Francis.

“The girls deserved it and we knew that the teams from the Western division will give us a good go.”

Lautoka had topped the girl’s medal tally at the end of the first day with a total of 10 medals followed by Suva, Nadroga/ Navosa and Nadi.

With the return of Veiuto Primary School, strengthened Suva’s bid to win the girl’s title. For the past year Veiuto Primary School has been participating under the school’s name.
