The Inoke Male-coached Fiji Airways Fijiana 15s side is looking forward to playing Samoa in the final match of the Oceania Women’s Rugby Championship.

Both teams are undefeated and are expected to rise to the challenge in the title decider at Churchill Park, Lautoka on Saturday,

Yesterday both teams scored comprehensive wins with Ma­nuSina thrashing Tonga 68-7 while the Fijiana thumped Papua New Guinea 96-0.

The last time the two teams played was in 2016 where Fiji­ana beat PNG 37-10.

What happened: The side scored 16 tries to none in the one sided 80 minutes of rugby.

Big Play: First five eighth Tokasa Seniyasi scored a total of 15 points. She scored a try and kicked five conversion as Fijiana led 53- 0 at halftime.

Star Turn: Winger Luisa Tiso­lo scored two tries and kicked two conversions. Jiowana Sau­to and Timaima Ravisa also scored two tries each.

Comments:

Fijiana captain Rusila Na­gasau said; “Our focus shift to Samoa now. We didn’t expect the scoreline to be that big but tried to play our best as we pre­pared for our final game.”

PNG captain Debbie Kaore said, “I am happy for my girls in their effort despite the score­line. We did give our best. We did know that Fiji will be tough as they did a lot of offloads which was too good.”
