One notable absentee at the 2018 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards this Saturday will be Godo Muller-Teut.

Yes, that’s right! Now everyone will be pondering who will be the next Investment Fiji chief executive officer.

The awards will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort, Nadi.

He was a key note speaker during the launch of the 2018 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards on July 16, 2018 at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva.

It is understood that the Investment Fiji CEO position had been vacant two weeks prior to the elections.

It is understood Mr Muller-Teut had completed his first term of the contract and was offered a second term but declined to take the offer for personal reasons.

Investment Fiji is the main organiser of the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards.

It is also the marketing arm of the Fijian Government to provide services and assistance to promote, facilitate and stimulate increased investments and exports.

Mr Muller-Teut now looks after his hotel business in New Zealand.

He worked at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, an equivalent body to Investment Fiji prior to his new appointment at Investment Fiji in 2015

Mr Muller-Teut is a German raised in Singapore and educated in the United Kingdom.

He spent considerable amount of time of his life in the Middle East and in New Zealand.

He has owned and operated Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Now a general manager is looking after the operations of Investment Fiji.

But then who will be the nextCEO?

But first things first. Who will be the winners in the big awards this Saturday night?
