Divyesh Chand of Namaka Public School said he couldn’t have achieved what he did had it not been for his parents’ support.

During his exams he fell ill.

“I would like to thank my parents. I had high fever when I was sitting for my exams ,but their presence motivated me to complete my exams and do well,” he said.

The 13-year-old scooped four subject awards during the prizegiving at Gateway Harvest Church (CMF) on Tuesday night.

He scored 98 in Healthy Living, 96 in Social Science, 95 in Basic Science, 84 in Hindi.

“My parents motivated me to achieve this so it makes me really happy to see the proud look on my parents’ faces.”

He looks forward to attending Natabua High School next year.

Divyesh was part of the 92 Year 8 students from the Nadi school.
