From a successful turn around and a complete rebranding in 2013, Fiji Airways has achieved record growth and continuous profits with well over 65 per cent of all visitors arriving in Fiji on a Fiji Airways flight.

Our national airline scooped the main Prime Minister’s International Business Award last night at the Sofitel Resort and Spa in Denarau, Nadi.

Fiji Airways Executive General Manager, Fiji Link and Group Corporate, International and Government Affairs Shaenaz Voss said: “Winning an award of this magnitude just doesn’t happen. It requires a lot of dedication.”

She said winning the award happens with great leadership.

“I’d like to, at this juncture, thank our managing director/CEO who is unable to be here tonight, he is away on business, and our chairman and board of directors at Fiji Airways for their leadership.

“And of course nothing happens without a great team at Fiji Airways, who make it happen, and of course, the industry partners, the tourism industry and everyone every stakeholders that works with Fiji Airways

“And of course most importantly the Government of Fiji, through the PM’s office and the PM himself, and the unwavering support that Fiji Airways gets from Government.

“They are always behind us and always looking after the interest of Fiji Airways whilst as a commercial entity, we do what we need to do, but without their support we couldn’t do it.

“Our line ministry and the Attorney-General and Minister Responsible for Civil Aviation, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, for his support to Fiji Airways

“Finally to all Fijians for flying Fiji Airways and for helping us progress the airline.”
