Twenty-three women of Lomaiviti province will showcase their artifacts at the 2019 National Women’s Expo.

Director for Women Selai Korovusere made the announcement at the Lomaiviti carnival on Saturday.

She said 15 Lomaiviti women had already been issued their Fijian Made Licence and confirmed the names of those taking part in the Expo.

Ms Korovusere added that they are working towards developing those issued licences to become individual entrepreneurs.

“We don’t want to see them back at the Expo,” she said.

This was because most of the women have secured their markets overseas and even local markets.

“We want to push them out of the Expo and let them swim out in the business world.

“We are hoping to do training programmes that will look at this, to get marketing strategies and opportunities.”

She said there had been bilateral agreements with other countries for market opportunities.

Ms Korovusere encouraged women to make use of their talents.
