Fiji At 8th Position In World Rugby Rankings

Fiji now sits at their highest position in the World Rugby Rankings.
The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians wrapped up their November tour on a high after the 21- 14 victory over France on Sunday.
It was their first upset victory over France.
The Sydney Morning Herald said: “Fiji will go to next year’s World Cup as dangerous outsiders with the ability to disrupt the established order, opening their campaign in Japan against the Wallabies in a group that also includes Wales, Georgia and Uruguay.”

Men’s and Women’s World Rugby Rankings are calculated using a ‘Points Exchange’ system, where sides gain or lose points based on the match result. Other criteria include the relative strength of each team, the margin of victory, and an allowance for home advantage. Source: World Rugby
Absolutely class. Makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Great to see @fijirugby doing so well at the weekend too. https://t.co/ym44dCZU3Z

Soul-stirring stuff. So immense to see Fiji get that historic win – if this is the first stepping stone to putting them firmly on the world rugby stage, then it was a pleasure to witness it. https://t.co/pWukfSJZDP
