PM Leaves For Sugar Talks, COP24

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama leaves the country this week to attend two meetings overseas.
The Fiji Sun sent questions to him on these two trips and his answer was he would be in London on November 29 before the sugar talks started on Friday, November 30.
Soon after that he travels to Poland for the Katowice Climate Change Conference that would include the 24th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP24) to the UNFCCC.
As president of COP23 Mr Bainimarama will hand over the presidency to the new COP24 president Michał Kurtyka, State Secretary in the Ministry of Energy in Poland, who has been selected as the President of COP24.
COP24 will take place from December 3 to 14 in Katowice, Poland, with Poland holding the presidency of the Climate Convention for the third time.
