Defender Kolinio Sivoki and 2018 Courts Inter-District Championship hero Samuela Nabenia will boost Lautoka’s campaign in the Pillay’s Garment Champion v Champion Series this weekend.

The Blues will host Ba in the first match 7.30pm on Friday and the second match at 3pm on Sunday.

Sivoki, who was part of the team at the recent Pacific Cup in Sydney, picked up a red card in the second match and was ruled out for the rest the tournament.

Nabenia was not part of the tour since his injury does not allow him to play on a synthetic turf.

“Sivoki is back and Nabenia will be available as well,” said head coach Kamal Swamy.

Swamy did not mince his words saying playing Ba will always be tough.

The Men In Black has won the CvC title 19-times, a feat yet to be matched.

“It will be tough for us as the players have been exhausted playing on a synthetic turf in Sydney. But we will try our best to recover in the next few days and prepare for the CVC clash,” he added.

“Anything can happen and Ba is not an easy side as they have been known as the traditional champions of Fiji.

“We do respect Ba and hope the best team wins.”

Swamy said the team is injury free.

Since the inaugural CvC in 1992, Lautoka has played Ba five times coming out victorious on two occasions in 2009, and 2017.
