The 26th Queen Victoria School Old Boys Druavesi Golf tournament will be played at the Fiji Golf Club today.

The tournament is named after long serving QVS teacher Netani Druavesi who was at Vulinitu from 1940s to the late 70s.

Tournament coordinator Cama Raimuria expects over 200 .old boys, families and friends to be part of the annual event.

“Each House (Bau, Rewa, Verata and Tovata) will have at least two teams of 4 players,”Raimuria said.

“Players not playing are expected to walk to at least for 9 holes.

“We have also invited other old scholars from Adi Cakobau School, Ballantine Memorial, Ratu Kadavulevu,  Suva Grammar and Marist Brothers.

 

HOUSE TEAMS 

“Bau will be captained by Leader of the Opposition Sitiveni Rabuka, Rewa by lawyer Tomasi Tuitoga, Verata by former Reserve Bank of Fiji governor Savenaca Narube and Tovata by BSP managing director Malakai Naiyaga.

Ministry of Health’s Dr Isimeli Tukana will be the chief guest and will address members at the prize-giving function to raise awareness on NCD and also encourage members to come forward and commit to wellness programme as part of day to day living.

Registration starts at 9.30am and tee-off at 12pm.
