Water Disruption For Customers In Lautoka To Normalise

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in parts of Lautoka who have been experiencing intermittent water supply that WAF is working to get water supply normalised.

 Affected Areas Include:

  • Vuda Reservoir Road
  • Viseisei Back Road
  • Vuda Back Road
  • Esivo Road
  • Lomolomo
  • Lomolomo Public School Road

The interruption in supply is due to a defective 300mm high pressure valve on Vuda Reservoir inlet that had affected the flow of water, resulting in the drastic decrease of water levels at the Vuda reservoir.

Customers in the areas above are advised that this will continue for the next two weeks until the new high pressure valve arrives in the country with an additional two days to allow installation works and restoring water supply to all affected areas.

The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

Water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.

The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.

For further enquiries, customers can call 3346777 and 5777 (Vodafone, Digicel & Inkk users) or email contact@waf.com.fj
