“I applied for the YES scheme last year September and it got approved this year around October,” the 19-year-old said.

He said he was he was happy because he was now going to be following in his father’s footsteps.

“Sometimes I used to get late for my exams because my car used to break down so I did this course to be able to repair my car whenever needed,” he said.

“I had to ask my friends for help when there was a breakdown in my car to reach exams faster.”

He said is thinking of proceeding further with his studies. He dedicated his success to his parents and credited their support and motivation.
