Excitement Causes Ben To Travel To Suva From Rabi To Get Exam Results

Ben Corrie was so eager to receive his Year 13 Examination result, that he left Rabi and arrived in Suva on Wednesday in order to receive it.
The 19-year-old Rabi High School student was accompanied by a friend to get their results yesterday.
“When I heard that the marks came out I left home to come to Suva because I was too excited to see my marks. I am glad that I passed and made my parents proud,” said the second youngest of five siblings.
“I really studied hard for the exam because I am the first in my family to do Year 13. My older siblings only studied till Year 11. I wanted to make my family proud and I guess I did.
“I didn’t know what to expect, but on the other hand I was excited to see my marks. I am glad I came to Suva because I was able to see my marks fast because it would take sometime back home.
“Next year I am going to attend the University of the South Pacific. I plan to do Human Resource Management,” he said.
“I am glad that my hard work has paid off, but this is just the beginning because I have a long way to go.”
