Roy Singh won the ninth round of the 2018 Pacific Energy quarter-mile drag race at Pacific Harbour yesterday.

Singh, driving a Ford Falcon XR6, clocked in a time of 11.828s in the quarter mile race.

Sindhu Prakash won the ladies version of the race.

Prakash clocked in a time of 14.375s, a record in the female category, in her Mitsubishi Evo 10.

The  ninth quarter-mile drag race of the year was a chance for drivers to showcase their talent on the track.

There were a few delays on the day as organisers had to take out time and allow the racetrack to dry because of rain.

Fiji Motorsports Association president Raizal Hannif applauded the support of Pacific Energy.

“They supported the Fiji Motorsports Association throughout the year,”Hannof said.

“I also thank my executives and volunteers for their support.”

The final 2018 Pacific Energy Drag Race will be held at the Nanuku aerodrome on December 23.
