Within three days Police managed to conduct successful drug raids at Cakaudrove province in Northern Division.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that on December 17 (Monday) at around 3am at Natewa in Cakaudrove a team of Police officers conducted its second raid.

The first drug raid was on December 15 between Buca and Loa Village in Cakaudrove where 207 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted.

“The team at Natewa uprooted more than 2000 plants believed to be marijuana from the farm allegedly belonging to a 28-year-old man,” Ms Naisoro said.

“He was earlier arrested for being found in possession of marijuana and had revealed the location of the farm.”

She said the drugs were yet to be analysed. Edited by Percy Kean
