Despite getting 324 out of 400 Lloyd Powell is disappointed with his mathematics mark.

The Suva Sangam student received his provisional Fiji School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) result yesterday.

The 17-year-old was hoping to score more than 90 marks in maths.

“I was planning to get more than 90 in my maths, but unfortunately I didn’t. My maths mark used to be one of my highest marks in school, but I wasn’t able to maintain it,” Lloyd said.

“I plan to do Year 13 next year and try and improve in the external exam.”

Jai Narayan College student Tamara Mua was disappointed with her marks, but vows to do better next year.

“My target was 320, but I was only able to score 273 out of 400. I have learned from this result and will try my best next year,” Tamara said.

“I will have to sacrifice more when I do year 13 next year. I plan to get more than the target I set for next year.

“I want to be a lecturer in the future which means I have to do more and sacrifice what I love to do. I am willing to do that next year.”
