Ana Sinate Buliatale was unable to get into a tertiary institution because of financial difficulties. But yesterday she received a certificate thanks to Tacirua Sustainable Livelihood Project training provided by the Fiji National University.

The 22-year-old from Nakorosule Village in Naitasiri, graduated with Certificate in Front Office and Food and Beverage.

An emotional Ms Buliatale was thankful to FNU for giving her the opportunity to prove herself.

“I was in Form Seven (Year 13) in 2015 and after that I started working at a garment factory. I wanted to go to a university, but because of financial difficulties I couldn’t,” Ms Buliatale said.

“I did not want to pressure my parents so I looked for work. I have always wanted to be a teacher. Receiving my first certificate makes me feel that I am one step closer to my dream.

“This is a good opportunity for me and I am glad that I was part of the two weeks training.

“I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity and FNU for coming up with such a great initiative.”
