The Dolphin Plaza at Loftus St in Suva will soon be renovated, Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) chief executive officer Jaoji Koroi has confirmed.

He said the FNPF Place building was almost 20 years old and the planned refurbishments of the ground floor and food court area was delayed for some time.

“Regular upgrades to any commercial building is part and parcel of property investment and we are working with the affected food court tenants on this process,” he said.

He was unable to give an exact date on when renovation works will begin.

“Some tenants will not be affected by the renovation,” he said.

“The upgrade will modernise the current standard of the food court area and the main entrance to the building, and provide a facelift that will improve the overall outlook of the building.

“The upgrade works covers the ground floor, which includes restaurants and retail tenants. Tenants that won’t be affected include Krammer Ausenco and Daikoku who are also on the ground floor and all office tenants from level two to 10.

“The cost cannot be disclosed because it is still under the tender process.”
