The Salad Bowl Netball Club of Navosa, Nadroga aims to develop its young teams going into the 2019 netball season.

This was after the side won the final at the Fiji Hideaway Resort Burenitu netball tournament held at Rakiraki over the weekend.

Club president Judy Kumar said the association was hoping to keep up the momentum as they expected a tougher netball season in the coming year.

“The future of the association looks bright and we aim to maintain this momentum going in to 2019,” Judy said.

“We hope to work on a few weaknesses that we have noted in 2019 to ensure that we return to the courts stronger and competitive.”

The team had a successful season in 2018 after winning tournaments held around the country.

“The team had a strong start in 2018 and finished strongly to be crowned champion in last weekend’s event,” Judy said.

“There are plans to involve our young team in many tournaments next year so that players get enough exposure and game time.

“We acknowledge the support of our fans who have been loyal supporters over the years.”
