Missing 7: Search And Rescue Teams Return To Base

The search and rescue operation of the missing 7 men in the Bau waters will be reassessed as both the search and rescue flight team and the RFNS Kikau return to base.
The Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre confirmed that Police ground teams continue their operation along the search area coastline.
Social media posts and comments regarding the case are also being investigated for spreading false information. Those found guilty of spreading false information will be taken to task, the Centre tweeted.
The missing fibreglass boat had left Levuka last Wednesday en route to Nawaikama Village in Gau was found last Friday.
Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Navy Commander, Captain (Navy) Humphrey Tawake confirmed that the boat was found without its seven occupants and outboard engine.
