What a blessing and joy it was to celebrate the birth of twins on New Year’s Day.

This was what 24-year-old Nazmun Nisha experienced after delivering her first set of twin boys minutes just after midnight. She’s now a mother of three.

The successful delivery brought joy and happiness to the mother of Dakani Settlement in Sigatoka. The emotional and overwhelmed mother spoke to the Fiji Sun yesterday, saying this was one of her best memories on New Year’s Day.

“This is a very happy day for me,” she said.

“This is the second set of twins for my extended family, the first set of twins delivered by a family member passed away.”

The first twin boy was born at 12.03am while the second twin boy was born at 12.30am, being the first babies to be born at the Lautoka Hospital for 2019.

She said she would name her babies when her husband arrives from Sigatoka this week.

As at 5am yesterday, three babies were born at the Lautoka Hospital.
