A Fiji Broadcasting Corporation talk show host and broadcaster charged with one count of theft, has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Ziyad Parvez appeared before Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara.

It is alleged that on January 5, 2019, in Raiwaqa, he stole a brown wallet valued at $25 and $550, all to the total value of $575, the property of Viliame Somsak Yari, with intention to permanently deprive the complainant.

Police prosecutor Raymond Filipe served full phase disclosures to the accused.

He did not object to the bail while Parvez sought Legal Aid assistance.

Magistrate Wickramasekara imposed strict bail conditions and ordered Parvez not to interfere with any of the prosecution witnesses.
He was also ordered not to change his residential address.

Parvez was granted bail on the sum of $2000 and one surety bond sum of $2000.

The matter was adjourned to March 28 for plea.
