Patterson Brothers Shipping Company Limited has confirmed that it has resumed services.

People stranded in the Northern Division can now bring their tickets to the main offices throughout Fiji so that bookings could be made accordingly.

This also applies to vehicle tickets that were cancelled.

Meanwhile, people stranded in Labasa queued in front of the Labasa office to get their bookings rescheduled.

Timoci Vulaoro, 33, who has been stuck in Labasa for the past few days, said that he had been waiting to travel back to Kadavu with his wife.

“We have been stranded here due to the tropical cyclone and are very hopeful that we are able to travel,” he said.

Mr Vulaoro said that he came to the office at around 6am and waited as people made long queues in front of the office.
Narsama Naidu, 63, said she came to Labasa during Christmas week and had been waiting to travel back to Suva.

“I have my grandson with me and we have to travel back in time for school, which starts next week,” she said.

She was also happy that shipping services had resumed.
