The Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Commander Land Force, Colonel Manoa Gadai conducted his first parade for 2019 at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua, yesterday.

In his address Colonel Gadai said “it is imperative to remind you of the Commander’s 2018 Christmas Message that all members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) are required to refine their discipline and improve their peacekeeping responsibilities.

“All members of Land Force Command must ensure that the two requirements are fulfilled at the early stage of 2019 before they undertake their New Year’s responsibilities.”

Colonel Gadai emphasised that the RFMF was an institution that observed professional military traditions, cultures, values and ethics which challenged officers, men and women to become professional service members.

He also reminisced the Prime Minister’s message during his tenure as Commander RFMF, to always acknowledge divine guidance on all RFMF responsibilities.

“You must not forget that the Lord Almighty is the guiding light on all our military undertakings,” Colonel Gadai.

The Commander Land Force expressed his appreciation for the LFC personnel’s positive contribution on all military engagements in 2018.

He also directed that the year 2019 shall be an era for improvement on discipline and peacekeeping for RFMF.
