Nausori, Tailevu South And Delta Residents Face Water Disruptions

Residents living along the Nausori, Dilkusha, Tailevu South and the Rewa delta can expect water disruptions tomorrow morning.
The Water Authority of Fiji has advised its domestic customers to store at least about 200 litres of water for drinking and cooking purposes.
For other purposes such as bathing, washing dishes and clothes more water should be stored.
The disruptions will last till 6am Monday.
Meanwhile, the WAF has ensured that during the shutdown period there will be minimal interruption to the major services such as hospitals and the airport.
The WAF said it will place 100 water tanks at strategic locations and deploy 30 water carting trucks.
The interruption in supply is a result of commissioning works of the DN375 Trunk Main Duplication Project at Duilomaloma Road near The Waila Water Treatment Plant.
Once commissioned customers will see improvements to water supply as additional water supply will be boosted into the reticulation system.
For further enquires, customers can call toll-free 1507 (TFL, Vodafone, Digicel and Inkk users or email: waterhelo@waf.com.fj.
