Ba and Lautoka come into their matches with one eye on next month’s OFC Champions League.

Defending champions Lautoka host minnows Tavua on Sunday at Churchill Park in round one of the new Vodafone Premier League season.

The Fiji Football Association announced the fixtures yesterday after a National League Board meeting with district reps in Vatuwaqa, Suva

The second match will see last year’s runner-up Ba travel to Ratu Cakobau Park for an encounter against newcomers Nasinu.

Both matches will be played at 3pm.

Ba and Lautoka come into their matches with one eye on next month’s OFC Champions League.

The Sugar City side finished at the top last season with 31 points after, with a record of 9 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss.

Ba, on ther other hand, finished the season on second-place with 26 points, recording 7 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses.

Lautoka’s opponents Tavua espcaped relegation last season by the skin of their teeth, reaching the finish line with 12 points to last-placed Dreketi’s 8.

Nasinu come into the competition as the top team from the Premier Division last year.
