Jone Vakarisi, charged with damaging property and assault, has been further remanded by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Vakarisi appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash yesterday and the  trial date in the matter has been set for April 17 and 18.

He is charged with one count each of criminal trespass, damaging property, assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal intimidation.

Vakarisi and others on December 11, 2016, in Suva, armed with empty bottles, batons, stones and broken cement blocks forcefully entered the property of Ulamila Salailagi in Nabua, looking for her brother Nemani Tadumaiserene and his friends. They allegedly threw stones on the house and forcefully made their way inside it.
