Farmer, 52, Charged With Sexual Related Offences
Afifty two-year-old farmer of Lau has pleaded not guilty for sexual related offences.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa yesterday.
He is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape.
It is alleged that the accused, between December 1, 2016 and January 17, 2017, in Lau, unlawfully and indecently assaulted the complainant, this is for the two counts of sexual offence charged.
The count of attempted rape; it is alleged that on January 8, 2017, in Lau, the accused attempted to have carnal knowledge of the complainant.
The complainant is 13 years of age.
The accused’s bail is extended and the matter was adjourned for mention to February 21.
