We’re less than 15 days away from the closing of the January Transfer Window. The district officials are working around the clock to seal the deal with players they want and submit their transfer applications to the Fiji Football Association.

There are claims made on certain players moving to other districts but all will be known when we draw closer to January 31. As of now the big news are;

CHRISTOPHER WASASALA: Labasa to Suva

Its being rumoured that Wasasala has signed up with Suva. His move could affect the Babasiga Lions’ campaign as they are also on the verge of losing their star striker Anare Apenisa commonly known as Ratu Anare.

Wasasala, a classy striker who starred for the Vodafone Fijian football side was recruited early last year by Lautoka. He scored a few crucial goals for the Blues but was not able to fit in and this saw him returning home.

On whether he could stay longer with Suva is yet to be seen but hopefully the presence of his former Labasa team-mates like Apenisa and Gabirieli Matanisiga could make him feel at home and this should work wonders for the Whites.

AMANI MAKOE: Rewa to Suva

This crafty defender is a leader when on the field of play. The former national football captain is a solid defender and has the ability to score spectacular goals.

However, Makoe has been struggling to find his form of old. He had a quiet season with Rewa but towards the end he seemed to have faded away.

The move to Suva is probably a way for him to resurrect his career and be able to take it to another level.
