Tuva Youths prop Sanaila Daniva won the Lote Tuqiri Medal (Best Player Award) in the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort 7s Youth final at the 2019 McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka yesterday.

The 19-year-old Nabau, Nadroga native was rewarded for his brilliant play during the competition.

He was the toast of the side with his defence and offloading skills which left opponents flatfooted.

“I did not expect to win this medal and to receive it from the rugby legend Bryan Habana. This is dedicated to the team for their sacrifice.

“It is a great feeling to wear this around my neck,’’ he said.

“This is the first time to win this medal. I want to play rugby overseas and achieve greater things in life.”
