One of the country’s most successful businesswomen Jenny Seeto is among the top trainers running a Fiji Directors Course in Suva this week.

The three-day course is organised by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Ms Seeto retired from International Accounting, audit and professional services giant PricewaterhouseCoopers at the end of 2017.

She held the position of Joint Senior Fiji Partner of PwC from 1998 and then became sole Senior Partner in 2002 until her retirement.

Ms Seeto yesterday led course modules, on Finance for Directors and Assessing financial perfomance for Directors

Course organisers say Ms Seeto’s  practical knowledge, hands-on experience and business acumen is invaluable.

Her knowledge and experience in a wide spectrum of technical work in finance, risk and governance has proved useful in providing advice to organisations and in conducting training in different disciplines and presentations.

Her fellow trainer is David Evans who has over 30 years’ senior banking and finance experience across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

His executive positions with Westpac included Chief Manager Fiji Islands, Chief Credit Officer Western Australia and Senior Manager Indigenous Banking, Western Australia.

The two facilitators provide the type of targeted training needed by Senior Executives of Statutory Board and Government to realise their obligations (both legal and financial) and broaden their horizons, the organisers say.
