The Legal Aid Commission acting director, Shahin Ali told the 80 corporate staff yesterday that if they didn’t have the right attitude, they were not doing justice to their work.

Mr Ali made the comment while speaking at the Legal Aid Commission 8th Annual National Corporate Staff Training at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa in Natadola yesterday.

He said the role of customer service applied to every employee including lawyers.

“When we talk about customer service there seems to be a perception that customer service is only applicable to front line staff such as receptionists, when in fact each one of us, including lawyers, are customer service officers,” Mr Ali said.

“No matter how many years of training you received, if you don’t have the right attitude you will not do justice to your work, to this organisation nor to our clients.

“Your customer doesn’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

He told the participants that they must obey the values of the Legal Aid Commission.

He added the Commission had completed the refurbishment of two new branches in Seaqaqa and Keasi which would be operational by March.
