Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum urged the 80 corporate staff members of the Legal Aid Commission to read constantly.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum made the comment after officiating as chief guest at the closing of the Legal Aid Commission 8th Annual National Corporate Staff Training.

This ended at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa in Natadola yesterday.

“Read constantly, be aware of what is happening around you, be aware of not only what’s happening in your town or in your country,” he said.

“Please take your jobs very seriously, but at the same time enjoy your jobs.”

The Legal Aid Commission is designed and funded by the Government to provide legal services to those who cannot afford this and to expand access.

Previously, legal aid was administered by the Chief Registrar’s Office.
